Choir at WHPS

At Wheelers Hill Primary School, we are fortunate to offer both a Junior Choir for students in Grades 1 and 2 and a Senior Choir for students in Grades 3 to 6. It has been wonderful to see our students grow in confidence and perform throughout the year at assemblies and at the Arts Show.

Both choirs have sounded amazing at their performances, and every student should be incredibly proud of their efforts. At the Art Show the audience was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the singing, as well as the enthusiasm and happy faces of our performers. We are looking forward to seeing both choirs perform again in Term 4 at our WHPS 50th Anniversary Celebration on 13 November 2026, as well as later in the year as Christmas approaches.

In the final week of Term 3, more than 70 girls from Prep to Grade 6 participated in an Australian Girls Choir session. It was marvellous to see so many students participate with confidence and enthusiasm, and to hear the beautiful singing voices throughout the session. The Australian Girls Choir teacher was very impressed by the level of interest from WHPS students and commented on how brilliantly the girls sang together as a group.

Choir is a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase their developing musical skills and share their love of singing with our school community. Thank you to the students who participate in choir rehearsals each week, your performances are FABULOUS!
