Grandparents & Special Friends Day

In 3JC, we made our grandparent’s or special friends' guitars with a message in the guitar. My grandma came to spend time with me on this day. We got to colour together, I helped her with a few things. She did some of it on her own and we worked together. In Mass, I got to read a prayer of the faithful in front of the whole school. My grandma said I did a really great job. I felt very good that she was there to be with me on this day. My favourite part of the day was the activity, I’m glad she came and spent time with me.

On Grandparents and Special Friends Day, my mum came to spend time with me and my sisters and came to Mass and sat with us. We had so much fun in the classroom doing an activity with her. We coloured in together and I gave it to my mum and she said we did a good job on it.

My grandma and grandpa came to school. I showed them all my hard work. I showed them the gifts that I made for them. I made both of their faces on coloured paper with six love hearts. I needed to write down some things about them. I wrote that they were kind and thoughtful. I sat with them at Mass. I liked sitting with them at Mass because my grandpa was holding my hand. My favourite part of the day was showing them all my hard work

Both my grandparents came to my class (5SZ) on Grandparent’s and Special Friends Day. We filled out a template about what we like doing together. We coloured it in together so they can feel what it was like to be a student in a class. At Mass, they were surprised to see me having the courage to sing in the choir in front of the whole school. They were very happy to see me sing. This day is special because we can spend more time with them.

On Grandparents and Special Friends Day when we went to Mass, my nanna had a lot of fun watching my sister perform in the choir and meeting my best friend Estelle. My favourite part was showing her my work that I have done. We talked about how my work was going and talked to my friends. These days are the best because I get to see her at school and she gets to see me. We can talk to each other.
