Ms Kristen Pfitzner | Learning Area Head - Languages
A warm welcome to all new and returning students to Horsham College! We hope that you have enjoyed your holidays and are now feeling refreshed and excited about commencing the 2024 school year.
This year we welcome Ms Lea Maier to the German teaching team. She will teach alongside Ms Amelia Lugg and Ms Kristen Pfitzner. Ms Scarlett Kennedy has also commenced at Horsham College and will teach Spanish in conjunction with Ms Raquel Barrio.
Apart from the obvious benefit of learning to communicate in German or Spanish, there are many other advantages that result from learning another language.
Some of these benefits include….
- Improves our understanding of English (how the English language works)
- Develops our interpersonal skills
- Enriches our mental development
- Increases our cultural awareness and tolerance
- Learning German or Spanish is also fun!
