F/1/2 News
The F/1/2 class have had an amazing year of learning and growth.
Over the past few weeks, the students have been finishing off their learning about measurement. They have been enjoying experimenting with capacity by using water and blocks to measure how much a container can hold.
The students have also enjoyed participating in Christmas activities. They have been using Christmas as the medium to revise concepts, such as addition, counting patterns, graphs, times, directions, and spelling. They have also been writing about Christmas, their elves, and making cards.
At the swimming carnival, it was amazing to see how much confidence all the F/1/2 students have developed in the water, since swimming lessons. They were all actively participating in the games, and some students were confident enough to have a go in the big pool with the teachers during free time.
On Statewide Transition day, the 2024 F/1/2s started making friendships with their new classmates and navigating their new roles within the class structure. They participated in Walker Learning together, Maths activities, and got to meet their buddies for next year. We are all very excited to see what next year looks like.
