Student Achievements

                                              SWIMMING CARNIVAL

Our annual swimming carnival was held on Thursday December 7th at the Stanhope Swimming Pool.  Our winning team was MacKillop and our Champion swimmers for 2023 were Willow Bertram and Makore Dickinson.  Congratulations to all students on their willingness to have a go. The teachers won the Student vs Teachers relay race. 

MAKORE DICKINSON

Mac was elected as representative in the State Athletics team in Launceston Tasmania from November 24 - 28. He travelled to Tasmania with the State team and his family, including his grandparents who supported him during his events.  Mac performed with absolute class as he proudly represented his school, his state and his family.  Ken, Aroha and Meila were very grateful to be in attendance and were very, very proud of Mac with the way he conducted himself throughout the carnival. 

Mac was placed 11th in the country for shotput and gained so much knowledge and respect for every talented athlete competing that week.

He made lifelong friends and took away so much more than just the discipline in which he was competing. Life skills and growing as a young man were just a couple of skills.
