School and Family Partnerships

Hi Families,

In order to create strong learning connections between school and home, we have began using Seesaw. Seesaw is a program/app that the students will be using to show you their learning and achievements. Student will be learning to use the program in their ICT sessions and will be able to take photos, recordings and text of their work and progress to share with you to view. Families are able to view their students work at any time by downloading the app to any device and clicking on the link for your child’s class, where you can select your child’s name. Please see links below.

Students are very excited to be able to share with you their learning and we are looking forward to showcasing all the amazing things that students from NPS are doing in their classrooms on a daily basis!

Please note, that this is a student use app- so if you need to contact your child’s teacher, please communicate via the usual channels.

AUSLAN

Staff are attending a PD after school on Monday 26th February with Lancefield Primary to develop our understanding of the AUSLAN curriculum. We are excited to bring new knowledge and understanding back to school and begin exposing students to this amazing, inclusive language. We'll keep you updated what we're learning so you can follow along to!

Pancake Tuesday!

Who doesn't love pancakes? We were very lucky to share a delicious morning tea of pancakes together as a school.

The Invisible String

Foundation/1 students have been reading the book "The Invisible String" and talking about how we are connected to our loved ones, even when we can't see them. This prompted us to make our own "Heart Strings" with the names of the people we love on them, which we can wear throughout the day if we are missing them or feeling a little down. They have been a really helpful tool for the return to school, and the children had lots of fun making them.
