From our Parents Commitee
Bastille Day / Paris Olympics Celebration
We hope everyone had a joyful time at our Bastille Day / Paris Olympics celebration. A huge thank you to Maud Rocher & Marine Pesret-Thompson for coordinating this wonderful event for the whole CJC community. Photos to follow next week.
This event wouldn't have been possible without the help of our wonderful parent volunteers (in no particular order): Jo Zmood, Jackie Myers, Martine Inge, Dani Goldman, Marni Baker, Christelle Schaal, Oria Ortov, Victoria, Lucy Ransley, Leigh-Anne Johnson, Caroline Dubreucq, Alejandra Martinez, Sarah Spring, Alex Leahy, Alex Shteinberg, Claire-Anne Charles, Cheryn Cheam, Beatriz Pereira, Claire Douangmala, Alejandra Martinez, Barbara Roth, Gustavo Krapf, Joseph Chang, Ted Rubira, Solange Saboua-Pivan and Amy Pate!
We would also like to thank our sponsors for the amazing prizes and goodies they donated and the sports clubs who are taking the time to share their passion.
Enjoy watching the 2024 Paris Olympics Games!
PC Meeting: The next PC Meeting will be held on Friday, 2 August from 9 -10 in the staff room. All welcome. We will discuss events for term 3 (Father’s Day and Stall plus the School Disco) and start planning the End of Year Party!
Second Hand Uniform Shop: Thank you to our wonderful team who also ran a stall today. We will have another sale later in the term to prepare for spring/summer.
Father’s & Carer’s Day Breakfast and Stall: Our events for Father’s/Carer’s Day will be held on Friday, 30 August. Save the Date.
General Matters
Child Safety: A reminder that all parents/carer’s who wish to volunteer at CJC must have a Working With Children Check – it is free for volunteers and you can apply online here: Working with Children Check (service.vic.gov.au)
Friday Treats: Over winter, we will sell pain aux chocolate ($4) from Reverie Café after school from 3.30pm until 3.45pm. Class roster for Term 3 will be circulated shortly.
CJC Families Facebook Group: Did you know that we have a CJC Facebook Group called CJC Families? The page is used to inform our community of CJC Events, sell 2nd hand uniform, find a babysitter and more. The page is private, and you must be a CJC community member and answer the questions to join.
EFM - Call for Volunteers: The EFM provides a range of francophone services to our CJC community, including running the ever-popular EFM after school activities. The EFM is looking for additional volunteers to support the management of these programs and other programs. Joining the EFM IS a great way to deepen your francophone connections at CJC and beyond. Please contact president@efm.org.au if you can assist.
Gardening Club: We also have some interested parents who have established a CJC Parent Gardening Team to assist Madame Wilson’s STEM and Garden Program. Contact us at caulfieldjuniorpc@gmail.com
Amy Pate – President, Julia Yuncken – Secretary, Anne-Sophie Aguado – Treasurer and Martine Inge – Head Convenor.
