Student Voice
Mr. Thornton
It has been another exciting and rewarding year for Student Voice and Agency (SVA) activities at our college.
In Term 4, the SRC led an after-school “teach the teachers” session, where all teachers obtained valuable student insights regarding one of the following topics: belonging, fairness, relevance, safety, and success. The students who led these workshops are to be commended for the mature way they broached and discussed these important topics.
Another highlight of Term 4 was selecting our 2025 School Captains and Vice Captains: Simon, Harsha, Rupali and Jonathon. Both the SVA Team and School Leadership involved in this process were highly impressed with the quality field of applicants. There are many other Year 12 students who will also play an important role in our 2025 student leadership team.
Applications for all 2025 Year Level Captain roles opened in Term 4, and the SVA Team was again highly impressed by the quality field of applications. Elections will take place in Term 1, 2025, and the SVA Team looks forward to sharing the results of these elections with the school community.
There will be many other opportunities for students to develop their leadership roles in 2025. If families have any questions about student leadership opportunities ahead of these being advertised, please contact Mr. Angus Thornton at the college.
