Year 11 VCE Team

2024 has been a year filled with significant events and milestones for our Year 11 VCE students. From participating in challenging assessments to celebrating academic achievements, it has been a year of hard work and growth. Students have shared experiences, worked hard and celebrated achievements all throughout the year including Careers Expo at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, termly celebration assemblies, incursions with elevate education, the Year 11 Formal, Year 11 Wellbeing Day at the District Docklands, Year 11 Celebration Day going to Hoyts and Melbourne Central. This year, we’ve also seen students take part in extracurricular activities like interschool sports, swimming, athletics, cross country, production, and even the art and technology festival showcasing their talents and building strong connections with their peers. As we look ahead to 2025, we are excited for the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead, from preparing for our final VCE exams to continuing to develop both academically and personally. We’re ready for the next chapter in our educational journey!

Year 11 VCE VM/VPC Team

Well, what a whirlwind year this has been! Congratulations to all of our Year 11 students who persevered through the challenges. This year has been filled with so many highlights, from our exciting incursions and excursions to our fun and engaging game show assemblies. You have all come a long way, and we are incredibly proud of your achievements. The growth and progress you’ve made is truly impressive, and we cannot wait to see you all return as Year 12 students in 2025, stepping into your roles as leaders of the school.

As we head into next year, we have some fantastic opportunities to look forward to. We'll kick off Term 1 with our Year 12 Camp, or the alternative camp program, followed by the RMIT excursion on Monday of Week 2. Thank you all for being such an amazing group of students. Your hard work, dedication, and positive energy have made this year unforgettable. We’re excited to continue this journey with you. With appreciation and excitement, from Ms. Fitzgerald and Mrs. MacDonald.

Year 12 VCE, VCE VM/VPC Team

Our Year 12 cohort has had a busy pack filled year. Students demonstrated amazing academic achievements and participated in the organisation of many events as part of their applied learning. The year started with a motivational speaker followed by the Year 12 Camp. These opportunities allowed students to begin the year with an optimistic and motivated attitude.

A memorable event on the calendar for all CESC students is Harmony day. The VM students organised and participated in Harmony Day whole heartedly. This is a whole school event which displayed VM student led multicultural stalls, dancing and cultural dress. VM students also participated in excursions to the city for the Melbourne City Race, local excursions to the Hunt Club to create Mocktails as part of a Numeracy challenge, created a school garden, attended a career expo and led the school Coffee Van throughout the year, making and delivering delicious coffee to staff around the school. This is just a selection of the hands-on opportunities that students had throughout 2024.

Students had an amazing end to their CESC journey which culminated in a week of celebration. Students commenced their week with a lunch time celebration, which included a lunch of pizza, music and an ice-cream from Mr Whippy, a guard of honor and a final assembly. Students ended their time at CESC with a sunny fun filled day at Gumbuya World.

We celebrated and farewelled the Year 12 class of 2024 at our largest ever Valedictory Event at Bunjil Place on 27th November 2024 with over 800 guests and graduates. The evening marked a momentous occasion — the culmination of 13 years of schooling, growth, and dedication. We announced the students who had consistently achieved excellence in their subject at both the VCE and VCE VM level. We also presented awards for students who have demonstrated school values of Respect, Responsibility and Growth. With the release of the ATAR results on 12th December we were then able to congratulate 284 graduates on achieving their VCE, VPC or VCE VM certificates.
