Message from Liz

We would like to express our gratitude for your support in ensuring that your child/children were prepared to start learning on Monday. They have returned with smiles and eager to see their friends.

As we transition into spring, we are excited to experience the blooming flowers and greener grass. However, please note that it can still be a bit chilly in the mornings, so we kindly ask that the children wear a jumper to school, even if they plan to remove it later on.

Term 3 is filled with exciting and inclusive events such as Book Week, Father's Day, Footy Colours Day, Community Connections, Sandhurst Arts on Show, and Athletics. There will be more events to follow!

We aim to provide you with early information so you can mark the dates on your calendar.

Communication

We would like to inform you about the various ways we communicate with parents:

  • Emails are used for general communication from the school to home. You can expect to receive a daily message at 6:30am on each school day. These emails will contain important reminders about the day's events and any changes, allowing you to prepare your child for the day ahead
  • The Parent Access Module (PAM) is used for excursion permissions and for reporting student absences. This platform helps us streamline communication with parents and ensure that important information is received promptly
  • Seesaw is the platform where teachers and students showcase learning. Occasionally, teachers may send out class announcements through this platform as well.

We appreciate your attention to these communication methods and thank you for your cooperation in staying informed about school-related matters.

Drop off and Pick Up

Thank you for your support this week with the altered drop off and pick up space during the kerb installation on the west side of Campaspe St. We are now looking to address the condition of the footpath in front of our school and would appreciate your assistance in bringing this to the attention of the Council.

If you could kindly use the provided link to submit a request for footpath repair to the council, it would greatly increase our chances of a successful outcome. Please also feel free to include any photos you may have to further illustrate the issue. Thank you for your cooperation.

Footpath Repair Form

Families needing photos to support their request, are asked to let us know and we will email them.

Exciting updates to our routine:

After reflecting on our recent face-to-face consultations with families, teachers have decided to adjust our consultation schedule to align better with our assessment and reporting timeline. We believe these changes will enhance your understanding of your child's learning and development.

Please note that the Parent-Student-Teacher (PSG) meeting will now be held in Week 8, followed by Learning Conversations in Week 9. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Dogs Connect

Today we received notification that we are a Dogs Connect Accredited Community. We look forward to seeing Sully again next week and thank Eliza for the work she has done to get us here.

We are excited to welcome back our Little Joey's as they prepare to start school at St. Joseph's. While enrolments are ongoing, we would greatly appreciate it if forms could be returned at your earliest convenience to assist us with planning for 2025. Thank you for your cooperation.

PLEASE NOTE: The Pupil Free Day scheduled for 9th August has been postponed. This is a change from Real Schools so we thank you for your support.

Almighty God

We give you our school.

We give you all the teachers and staff who work here,

We give you all the children who learn here.

We pray our school will continue to be a place of great discovery, adventure and creativity. May it be a place where we love to learn and where we learn to love,

A place where every one is respected and all are deeply valued.

Amen

Be well.
