SSV Beachside Soccer Lightning Premiership Kingston Heath  2024

Hi Everyone,

On Tuesday 30th of July, St Agnes competed in the SSV Beachside Soccer Lightning Premiership against other schools in the Beachside District at Kingston Heath.  

St Agnes boys were up against some very experienced teams this year , but they didn't let that worry them, they played with a determination that all sports teams wished they had.  The boys took it one game at a time, one win after another and made it to the final against Sacred Heart Sandringham.

Game 1: St Agnes 1 v  Port Melbourne 0

St Agnes had all the possession and a few shots on goal with our striker Ayman scoring from a through ball by Connor in the box.  Our strong back line held a clean sheet.

Game 2: St Agnes 1 v St Leonards 0

Was a very close game both teams were very even.  Connor scored with an absolute belter from the right side. Our strong back line held a clean sheet again.

Game 3 Semi Final : St Agnes 2 v  Murrumbeena 1

Our back line had not conceded a goal so far all day, they defended very hard, but one goal slipped through in the last 30 seconds.  Connor and Ayman, our superstar strikers both scored.

Game 4 Final : St Agnes 0 v Sacred Heart Sandringham 6

Sacred Heart was just too strong on the day. Our boys did their best to try and stay in the game.

I would like to say a big thank you to the teachers/staff and parents who helped out and came to support the students on the day. Most of all I thank the team for doing an amazing job representing St Agnes.  Parents, teachers and myself are all very proud of you.
