Parents & Friends Association

The Parents and Friends Association is a dynamic part of St Vigil’s College with two engaged and active committees across the Junior and Senior campuses.
The committees work both independently and collectively to plan and host campus specific and combined fundraising events during the year.
The focus of the P&F is to connect the College community by providing enjoyable events and social forums for students, staff, family and friends to come together to engage, support and celebrate the spirit of St Virgil’s College. In addition, they raise funds for resources and equipment that enhance the educational experiences of students at the College.
The P&F is a fantastic forum to meet College community members, learn about the College and engage with staff and students. With the College welcoming Kindergarten to Year 12 students in 2025, it is important for teh P&F to progress and continue the significant and wonderful work they achieve each year.

2025 St Virgil’s College Football Tipping Competition
The St Virgil’s College Football Tipping Competition will be back this year in what shapes as a very exciting AFL season. The Opening Round of the AFL season commences at 7.50 pm on Thursday 6 March 2025 (just under two weeks!) with last year's premiers, Brisbane Lions, taking on the Geelong Cats. It will be run again by the P&F and is open to all parents/carers, staff and students of the School (Junior and Senior School), or anyone else who may be interested.
We will be using the website https://www.footytips.com.au/ for the competition so you can tip anywhere at any time on your phone or laptop or other device. If you haven’t already sign up and we will send you a code to enter the St Virgil’s College Football Tipping Competition early next week.
Entry fee is $25 (but discounted to $20 if paid by 31 March 2025), which covers 25 home and away rounds and 4 finals rounds. Payment options include cash or eftpos payment at either the school office or on the Qkr! app under St Virgil’s College: School Events.
There will be a weekly prize for the home and away rounds and overall prize winners at the end of the season. Further communication about the competition (including about how to pay) will be sent out early next week.
Thank you in advance for joining the 2025 St Virgil’s College Footy Tipping Competition, which we hope will provide some healthy competition between parents, staff and other interested parties and help build the School community.
Happy Tipping!
