Naplan 2025

Dear parents and carers,

In March this year the year 3 and 5 students will complete the Naplan tests.

The dates are as follows –

National coordinated practice test – Tuesday 25th February.

Naplan Writing – Wednesday 12th March

Naplan Reading – Thursday 13th March

Naplan Conventions of Language (spelling and grammar/punctuation) – Friday 14th March

Naplan Numeracy – Monday 17th March

From Tuesday 18th March until Thursday 20th March catch-up tests will be permitted.

Some early preparation includes downloading the NAP app and ensuring keyboards and headphones work. While keyboards are not compulsory, they are highly recommended for year 5 students as they complete the writing on the app whereas the year 3 students still handwrite the writing component.

Please find a link to understanding more about Naplan - https://nap.edu.au/docs/default-source/default-document-library/naplan-information-brochure-for-parents-and-carers.pdf

(There is also a simple version) - https://nap.edu.au/docs/default-source/default-document-library/simple-english-naplan-parent-carer-information.pdf

If you would like to discuss Naplan please see myself, and/or your class teacher.

Kind Regards,

Tim Kriewaldt
