Year 9 YEAH

Year 9 has embarked on their exciting journey through the Year 9 YEAH program, beginning with the dynamic team-building challenge, Tribal Wars - where the Red team emerged victorious! Students have also been deeply engaged in their core and elective subjects, expanding their knowledge and skills across various disciplines. In addition to academic learning, they have participated in trust-building exercises and meaningful discussions about personal growth and their identity in Christ, fostering both personal and spiritual development.

Awaken

What an amazing way to start the year of our Christ-centred K-12 education at our secondary school worship session, Awaken, last week! Students met to host their first session on our Ulverstone Campus with the theme being…

¹⁸ Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.¹⁹ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,²⁰ and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18 - 20

LEIGHLAND LIONS BASKETBALL TEAM OFF TO A GREAT START!

Season 2025 of NSATIS Basketball has started in spectacular fashion for the Leighland Lions with 3 wins from 3 games against Launceston based teams!

The first home game of the season was on Wednesday 12 February, with Leighland hosting Launceston Church Grammar School at our school gymnasium.

The Leighland Lions squad looks slightly different in 2025 with some fresh faces to compliment the team that made the semi-finals in 2024. Nonetheless, their sights are firmly set on going all the way in 2025 to take the NSATIS 2nds Basketball title.

Want to show your support? Come and watch the boys play their remaining HOME GAMES at 4.30pm on Thursday 27th February at the Leighland Christian School Gym in Ulverstone.

STUDENTS ARRIVING EARLY TO SCHOOL – SAFETY CONCERN

A reminder to parents and guardians that children are not to be at school before 8.15am each morning please.  Students arriving at school before 8.15am pose a safety and duty of care concern as we do not have staff on duty to supervise until this time.

Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated.
