Ulverstone Heads of Primary

It is a special honour to work in Christian Education. Children are dear to Jesus and we care for them in His name. At Leighland we aim to be a hope-filled Christian Community where children are nurtured, known and appreciated. It is our goal that our students will receive a rich and valuable real-world education within this community.
However, this is not without significant time, effort and hard work from our teachers, learning support staff and leaders. We are frequently amazed by the amount of energy that our Primary team pours into building great learning spaces, pursuing their own learning to improve student outcomes, and the amount of heart they share for educating your children. Our teachers are diligently pursuing the best evidence-based processes for the classrooms, and they are deeply investing in knowing their students so they can bring learning to them at their point of need. Our learning support staff have enormous hearts and give, give, give to our students and teachers to ensure that everyone is supported and no one gets left behind.
Teaching is not an easy job. We are so thankful for the role that these amazing educators play in your children's lives. And we are so appreciative of the way that you partner with us to ensure the best outcomes for your students.
What we would really like to ask is that you commit to praying for our school. Prayer is a beautiful expression of our dependence on God for all things. We cannot accomplish transformative Christian education through human effort alone - no matter how hard our teachers and staff work! As parents in partnership with our Christian school, we urge you to stand in prayer with us. Lift up the teachers and learning support staff, asking God to fill them with wisdom, patience, and strength. Pray that they continue to be inspired and they are sustained in nurturing and educating your children. Pray for our students, that they may learn richly, grow in their love for God, develop a strong faith, and stand firm in the truth wherever they go. Pray for the school leadership, that every decision made aligns with God’s perfect will.
May our school be a place where God’s peace is felt, His wisdom reigns, and His love transforms.
May Christ bless you all,
