Assistant Principal (VM, 9/10) Report
Mr Travis Mcintosh
Dear Year 9 and 10 Students and their families,
Welcome to another exciting term! We hope you’ve had a restful break and are now ready to dive into the new school year with enthusiasm and dedication. This term is full of exciting events, activities, and opportunities for you to shine, so we want to make sure you're up to date!
A key event coming up is our school photo day on Monday, 3rd March. It’s your chance to look your best for the yearbook, so please remember to wear your full academic uniform, including the correct shoes, socks, and tie (for those who wear one). Be sure to tidy your hair and come ready to smile!
This Thursday, 7th March, we’ll be holding our House Swimming Sports event. We encourage ALL students to get involved and represent their House! Whether you’re swimming in the competitive races or cheering from the sidelines, your participation is what makes the day special.
Our House colours are as follows:
This day is a fantastic opportunity to connect with your peers and get involved in both competitive and non-competitive events. It’s all about promoting House spirit and community, so dress up in your House colours, bring your energy, and have fun!
A reminder that we have Year 7 & 9 NAPLAN (National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy) between Wednesday 12 March and Monday 24 March. This was communicated last week. All eligible students are expected to participate in the NAPLAN tests. Catch up tests will be available for individual students who are absent on test days up to and including Monday 24 March 2025.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
Students are also in the midst of starting their first Common Assessment Tasks (CATs) for the term. These assessments are an important part of your learning, and they provide a great way for you to showcase what you’ve been working on. Once your assessments are graded, you can view your results on Compass, where your teachers will provide detailed feedback on your performance. Be sure to check your results and keep track of your progress!
If you have any questions about upcoming events or assessments, feel free to reach out to your year-level coordinators or teachers.
We look forward to seeing you at the House Swimming Sports and hearing about your achievements this term!
Let’s make this term the best one yet!
Warm regards,
Mr Travis Mcintosh
