As we approach the end of the school year and begin preparing for school holidays, I have been reflecting on our amazing 2024 school year at Belmore School. I am again inspired by what our students have achieved this year and can't wait for the 2025 school year!
It has also been a very busy term with lots of lovely special events on the calendar including our recent Year 12 Graduation celebration and our Primary Graduation afternoon tea. The senior graduation was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our graduates Mark and Olivia, and we wish them all the best for their next phase in their lives. It is always wonderful to hear from the students about their highlights from their time at Belmore. A big thank you to the graduation committee for organising this beautiful celebration.
On Friday the 29th of November we hosted a special afternoon tea that also highlighted the achievements of our primary learning centre graduates: Emma, Anna, Jade, Michael and Saskia. It was so special to see the students sharing their favourite photos of their time in the primary school with their families and friends. Another big thank you to Patrick and the team for making this such a special event for the students.
Other highlights have included our whole school excursion to Wombat Bend Playground, our recent Fire brigade incursion and our amazing SRC Xmas party on the last day of term.
On Wednesday afternoon I had the privilege of supporting our school winner Michael and our Runner Up candidates Noah, Oliver and Sajjad as they had the opportunity to receive their prizes and afternoon tea celebration at Jess Wilson’s office, for their Christmas colouring competition entries. It was great to see the excitement and pride from all of the students and families present, as they were each presented their certificates and prizes. Congratulations to Michael, Oliver, Noah and Sajjad, well done!
You would have received a copy of your child’s Semester 2 report, 2024 Yearbook, 2025 class lists, our Candid Photos and a copy of the very first Belmore recipe book.
A big thank you to Michelle Green for coordinating and creating our lovely 'Candid Photos' for the students which we hope you enjoy! If you would like an electronic copy of any of the photos, please scan the QR code at the top of the document to download.
And thank you to Lydia Pervez our Speech Pathologist for putting together this lovely gift, the Belmore recipe book, which we hope you treasure, it was heartwarming to read the different recipes from our families and I'm already looking forward to next year's edition.
I would like to wish you all a safe, fun and festive holiday break and I look forward to seeing in the new school year in 2025.
Thank you for all of your support this year.
