Year 7 Toy Time
Anthony Johnston, Science and Systems Engineering Teacher
Today, the Year 7s had their showcase for their Toy Time projects in Dalton Hall.
Over the term, students have been on working on their toys in their Science and Digital Technologies classes. The toys have been designed to demonstrate concepts of forces and simple machines in a fun and engaging way, specifically targeting a Year 4 audience.
Students applied their skills in design, modelling and coding, and incorporated laser-cut components, 3-D printed parts and microbit controllers into their creations.
Year 4 students, teachers and two special guests from the toy industry explored the imaginative designs and helped select the top three teams. Congratulations to all students for their creativity, collaboration and innovation!
