Library Matters

Term 4 in the library has been fantastic!

Spock, our resident reading dog and KHS all-round super hound, enjoyed Mondays with us, and made many more friends as the term progressed. Spock is a true sport and always enjoys a bit of dress up in the library (see below). It will be brilliant to have Spock back with us in 2025.

Maker Mondays and a variety of other activities were a lot of fun and we are looking forward to expanding our lunch and recess activities next year with new clubs, competitions and a range of events throughout the year. Stay tuned to our social media in 2025 for information on all of these.

We continued with the ALNF Breakfast Library every Monday, Tuesday and Friday morning and it was great to see so many of our students enjoying a healthy breakfast and some excellent books, thanks to ALNF. We will be back in 2025, better than ever!

We also welcomed future KHS students on Orientation Day as well as hosting several fantastic programs run by our dedicated teachers in the library space.

Many new books and games arrived this term, making KHS library an even better space to spend time in. Remember that Kempsey Library is another excellent local library, and you will find they are offering lots of fun things to keep you busy over the break, including competitions with great prizes. You can book time for gaming and VR, read and find a quiet place to study too.

Thank you to all our library users this year, we are lucky to have the best students in NSW and have really enjoyed having you all visit our beautiful library space.

Ms Williams and I are excited to see you all back in the library in 2025, until then, have a happy and safe break and make sure to READ, READ, and READ!

Happy holidays!

Ms Summers
