A message from the Principal

This will be our final newsletter for the year and on behalf of all the staff at KHS I would like to thank you, the parents and guardians of our KHS community, for your support throughout 2024. I look forward to working with you all again in 2024.

On Monday we acknowledged those students who have received awards for their efforts this year at our annual presentation day. Congratulations to all our award winners.

In this forum however I would like to acknowledge the work all our students have done in 2024. Please read through your child’s report when you receive it. Have a genuine conversation about what your child’s teachers have written. Celebrate their successes and ask them what are their goals going to be in the classroom in 2025? Get them to write them down & revisit them during 2025. As I constantly say to the students – my mantra- you will get out of school what you put into it. KHS will provide your child with great experiences both in and out of the classroom. Please encourage your child to take up every opportunity available to them.

In 2025 all students Year 7 to 12 on Thursday 6 February.

I wish everyone in the KHS community a happy and safe Christmas. See you in 2025.
