Leadership @ MPS

Welcome to the start of a new and exciting school year. We’re thrilled to have all our students, staff and families back with us, ready for a year full of learning and growth. A special welcome to our new families. If this is your first year with us, we extend a heartfelt welcome! Our team is dedicated to helping you feel connected and supported throughout the year, so don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. We’re excited for you to become part of our vibrant school family.
2025 Strategic Direction
As we move into this school year, we’d like to share our vision and strategic direction for 2025. Our two primary goals are to:
Create a Positive and Inclusive Learning Environment
We’re committed to fostering a school culture where every student feels valued, supported and empowered to reach their full potential. This year, we will continue to focus on building an environment where inclusivity, respect and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do.
Improve the Learning Outcomes of All Students
We are dedicated to ensuring that every student, regardless of their starting point, has the opportunity to thrive academically. Our teachers and staff are working hard to personalise learning, provide additional support where needed and celebrate every student’s progress.
We believe that these goals will not only benefit our students’ academic growth but also their personal development as well-rounded individuals.
Meet & Greet Interviews – Reminder
Next Thursday, 13th of February, we will be holding our annual Meet and Greet interviews. These informal sessions are a great opportunity for parents and carers to connect with teachers, ask questions and learn more about their child’s upcoming year. Bookings close Tuesday, 12th of February at 4pm. See Compass for further details.
Colour Run in 3 Weeks!
We are excited to announce that our annual Colour Run will take place in just three weeks! This fun, energetic event is always a highlight of the year, with students, families and staff participating in a colourful, non-competitive run around the school oval. It’s a wonderful way to come together as a community and promote physical activity, school spirit, and just plain fun.
Date:Friday, 28th of February
Time: 2:15pm - 3:30pm
This coming Monday, there will be a separate Compass post with details and information on how you can support the event.
Fundraising 2025
This year, all of our fundraising efforts will be dedicated to an exciting and sustainable initiative – raising money for solar panels at our school! This project has been endorsed by School Council and has also been the focus of an Integrated Project by our Grade 3 and 4 students last year. They explored sustainability in-depth and recognised the importance of renewable energy sources like solar power. By installing solar panels, we will reduce our carbon footprint, lower energy costs and create a more eco-friendly learning environment for everyone. We’re excited about this project and appreciate your support as we work towards a greener future at MPS!
Have a fabulous weekend!
