Overnight Bike camp – Great Victorian Rail Trail

It was a pleasure to take our biking students on our overnight bike experience.  It was a demanding ride with intense weather conditions, including 30 degree heat, wind and rain. Over the two days we rode 70km! For some of the students this was their longest riding experience yet.  The students were very responsible and accepted the changes we had to make in terms of weather and routes. Around camp they were great at putting up the tents, helping with cooking/cleaning and just making our time enjoyable. I have had an enjoyable year throughout all of our rides with Bike Club; seeing the students' achievements and progression makes it all worthwhile. I would like to thank the staff involved; these are very special people who support all our ideas and rides - Jacob de Kunder, Chelsea Alderman and Anne Wilkins - we would not be able to complete these events without you. I will be sending out dates for our practices and events for 2025 in the new year - watch this space.  Have a great Christmas and keep riding!
