Second Hand Book Sale

After the success of the second hand book sale for Year 7 and 8 in 2023, the decision was made to expand the sale to all year levels in 2024. It was great to see the number of families who took advantage of not only saving some money, but reducing the number of new resources being purchased – which is great for the planet. We were able to save families a total of $6,996! Thanks to the amazing College staff who worked in the lead up to the event, during the event and in the collation and collection of money and unsold books. We look forward to improving the process again in 2025.

Professional Learning

In our final Sustainability PL, we spent some time sustaining our wellbeing through to the end of the year by making bookmarks. Staff used items donated by staff and purchased at op shops to create a diverse number of bookmarks that they will be able to use with their Independent Reading books or use as gifts for Christmas. It was a fun way to repurpose materials.
