Transitioning into new classes......
Tomorrow the students will find out who is in their class and who their teacher is for 2025. A lot of time and consideration has been put into placing the students into a class that the staff feel best suits them. Despite this, there is bound to be some nerves and disappointment. As parents it is very important that we guide our children through these situations with a positive mindset.
If your child is worried or disappointed listen to their feelings and worries and sympathise with them.
Don't go into 'fix it mode', instead help your child think of some positives and build a plan of what they can do to navigate their feelings. Discuss how they can calm their body, do some deep breaths and know which adults they can seek help from. If parents have a positive mindset their children will too.
Our staff are here to support the students through their transition and look forward to everyone having a lovely time during the transition sessions tomorrow and again on Monday.
