College Principal Message
Principal’s End of Year Message
As we approach the conclusion of my first year as Principal, I am filled with pride as I reflect on the many successes we’ve shared. This has been a year marked by growth, collaboration, and resilience, and it’s a testament to the dedication of our staff, students, and parents. A thriving educational community relies on the collective effort of everyone involved. Creating a culture where educators, students, and parents work together is never without its challenges, but it is through these challenges that we find the greatest opportunities to learn and grow.
At Copperfield College, we’ve embraced the principles of collaborative professionalism and collective efficacy in our approach to Teaching and Learning. Building a deep culture of collegiate learning, where all educators see themselves as agents of collective change, is no small feat. While it can be difficult to foster authentic collaboration, especially in the face of occasional complacency or disconnection, focusing on the human element – mutual trust and genuine connection – has been key in overcoming these challenges.
I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our teaching and no-teaching staff members, who work tirelessly to create a nurturing, stimulating environment for our students. Their passion and innovation are what make our school a place where futures are shaped, and dreams are nurtured.
As we turn the pages of this year, let’s not only celebrate the memories that have defined us, but also look forward to the exciting possibilities that the future holds. This year, we’ve weathered the uncertainties of the world, proving that our school is not just a place of education, but a place of strength and unity, underpinned by our multicultural values.
Together, we have studied hard, ventured to fascinating places, and participated in a range of competitions. We’ve faced triumphs and challenges alike, and through it all, we’ve learned, grown, and adapted. I hope each of you finds a special highlight to treasure from the is academic year.
A major highlight this year was our school production, High School Musical. This vibrant, well-executed show, featuring over 50 students and staff members, was a true testament to the talents of our school community. I want to thank and acknowledge the exceptional work of Ms. Taylar Van Orsouw (Producer), and all who contributed behind the scenes. Congratulations to everyone involved for such a memorable performance.
I also want to acknowledge the hard work of our leadership team. My deepest appreciation goes to Campus Principals Mr Andrew Atherton, Ms Mary Chiodo, Ms Soula Dedes, Mr Michael Gruis, and Mr Lance Petherick.
