December, 2024 - FACT: Those who have goals are 10 times more likely to succeed than those without goals.
This is an exciting time of the year as our Year 12 graduates are eagerly waiting for their final results. After many hard years of study, they will soon receive their HSC qualification. It is also a time that our incoming Year 12 students are commencing their first Assessment Task and are beginning to consider what their world will look like once their HSC is finished. As the year is drawing to a close, I want to congratulate all of our students as they have shown great commitment to their learning.
Last week our College held a thank you event for our industry partners. This was an opportunity to celebrate our partnership in education and to look forward to ways of strengthening our connections in the future. We are very thankful for the following partners for attending this event - Kareena Hospital, University Partners (UTS Start Ups, Torrens University), RIEP (Regional Industry Education Partnership), Matt Blak Property, Hospitality partners (Sea Level, Kin Cafe, and Deluxe Pizza), Lilli Pilli Patisserie, Anytime Fitness (Cronulla) and Tribe Fitness. We are so fortunate to have a large number of local industry and tertiary institutions who partner with our school to provide a whole new perspective on education.
As we continue to expand our school into Years 7 - 12, our College is keen to develop further connections with industry to strengthen our curriculum. Industry partnerships can work in a number of ways, including providing work experience opportunities, mentor programs and guest speakers. If there are any local businesses that are interested in participating in this programme, please contact me via email (see details at the end of this newsletter).
