Year 11 2025 Orientation

This past Wednesday we welcomed 180 students from De la Salle Caringbah and Our Lady of Mercy Burraneer to our College for their orientation day. The day began with rotational sessions where students were welcomed to the school by the College executive and new Leader of Wellbeing for year 11 Mr Reilly,  introduced to their homeroom teacher and pastoral, as well as being inducted into the Lasallian spirit in how we do things here.

Students then shared some time getting to know each other through some sport activities, fun pastoral games and a shared BBQ lunch on the oval. The day concluded with some sport trials for our Term 1 Representative teams and some fun sport activities. Everyone left with an iceblock and a smile on their faces and we look forward to seeing these same smiling faces in our uniform at the start of next year  - Year 11’s first day will be Monday, 3 February 2025.

Happy Christmas to all our students, staff and families

2024 has been a momentous year for our College with the introduction of Year 7 and the development of St Aloysius as a new option for our community in the Eastern Sutherland Shire. I would like to thank all our tremendous staff for the countless hours of planning, marking, programming and genuine care they placed on the education of our students. I would also like to thank our wonderful families for all your support over the past year - we have achieved some amazing things together this year and we look forward to forging new bonds with our new families to the College next year.

I would like to wish all our families a very happy and holy Christmas and relaxing and safe break over the new year. I hope our students get time to relax and enjoy the summer holidays and spend time with their families and friends, ready for a bigger and better 2025!

The College Mobile Phone Policy will also be in effect from day one and students are reminded that they can no longer use their phones to pay at the canteen. The Christmas holidays are the perfect time to organise a bank debit card or sign up to Flexischools

The College also has worked very hard this year to improve our student attendance and with the cooperation with our families our College has one of the best overall student attendance rates within Sydney Catholic schools. Strong Student Attendance will remain a priority next year - please see attached for our attendance procedures.
