Bullying No Way
Next week, our students will participate in Bullying No Way Week, a national initiative that promotes kindness, respect and inclusion in schools.
Throughout the week, classes will engage in age-appropriate learning and discussions that support students to build positive relationships, develop empathy, and contribute to a safe and supportive school community. Teachers will use a range of resources and approaches suited to the needs and developmental stages of their students.
Bullying No Way Week provides an opportunity for students to reflect on the important role we all play in creating a culture where everyone feels valued, respected and included.
We encourage families to continue these conversations at home and work alongside us in promoting respectful relationships and positive interactions both within and beyond the school community.
Together, we can help ensure every child feels safe, connected and supported.
Attendance Matters
At St Francis of the Fields, we know that children learn best when they are here, connected, engaged and part of the life of our school community.
Every day at school provides opportunities for learning, friendship, fun, growth and belonging. While occasional absences are sometimes unavoidable, missed days can quickly add up and lead to significant gaps in learning over time.
What is often easy to overlook is that attendance is about much more than academics. When children are at school, they are building relationships, developing confidence, learning important social skills and sharing experiences that help them feel connected to their classmates, teachers and the wider school community.
As parents, we all want our children to thrive. One of the simplest and most powerful ways we can support them is by ensuring they attend school every day they can. Consistent attendance helps children establish positive routines, maintain friendships and make the most of every opportunity that comes their way.
Thank you for the ongoing support you provide in partnering with us to give your child the very best start in life. Together, we can help every student embrace opportunities, achieve their potential and experience success both in and beyond the classroom.
If your family is experiencing challenges that are affecting attendance, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are here to work alongside you and provide support wherever we can.
