Education Week

We are excited to remind the Carlingford West Public School community that this week is Education Week! This special week is an opportunity for us to celebrate and showcase student achievement in all its forms.  

Information about Education Week Open Day has been shared weekly with our parent community via the school newsletter since the end of Term 2.  

The school newsletter is the main information platform that keeps our school community updated on coming events. Please read the weekly newsletter to ensure you are kept informed as well as plan for future community events.  

Three-point turns blocking Felton Rd

In last week's newsletter, I focused a lot on pedestrian and road safety for our students. Unfortunately, staff continue to witness parents and students walking across busy Felton Road instead of exiting the school via the left or right pedestrian gates on Felton Road.

Using the relevant pedestrian gate will remove the need for unsafely crossing Felton Road altogether. 

Sometimes, parents and carers are turning around doing a three-point turn on Felton Road, blocking traffic in both directions, even when the school gates to the turning circles are wide open.  

It is recommended that if the gates to the turning circles are open in the morning, that you use them to turn around, rather than blocking the street doing a three-point turn.
