Dear Parents,
As a staff we have been exploring a range of pedagogical practices that foster high levels of student engagement in the classroom. At the beginning of this term, we invited our students to share their perspectives through a school‑wide engagement survey because student voice is a crucial part of their learning journey. Their insights have provided us with a clear understanding of what helps them feel motivated, connected and confident in their learning.
Our staff have now analysed the survey responses and over the next two terms we will be focusing on student engagement by implementing a variety of strategies designed to strengthen participation, deepen learning and build students’ confidence throughout the learning process. We will continue to refine our practices, listen to our learners and create classroom environments where every student feels empowered to thrive.

I would like to welcome Deacon James into our St Aidan’s community as he joins the Holy Family Parish. Deacon James brings a generous spirit, a deep commitment to faith and a genuine passion for supporting children and families. We look forward to the guidance, presence and partnership he will share with us in the months ahead.

Our Kinder to Year 6 classes lit up the assembly last week with their creative dance performances. The students’ faces said it all, showing pride and a love for their lessons with Miss Hinds. Each class brought energy, confidence and creativity to the stage, making it a highlight of our week.

"Trust in the Lord for true peace and strength."
Have a beautiful weekend.
Kind regards,
Rachel Baker
