Year 3/4 DW Learn to Learn Week

Year 3/4 DW began the year with our Learn to Learn program, focused on establishing strong routines, building positive relationships and creating a calm and safe classroom culture.

Students took part in a range of engaging getting to know you activities such as Lettuce Get to Know You, Never Have I Ever, What Are My Superpowers, Would You Rather, and All About Me activities. These helped students share about themselves, celebrate their strengths and build connections within our classroom community.

Building Routines and Expectations

Throughout the week, students practised important school routines including:

• PBL line order and lining up safely
• Recess and after-lunch routines
• Transition routines between learning sessions
• Organising their belongings and classroom materials
• Understanding whole-school behaviour expectations and respect in the classroom

Students also learned about the PBL acknowledgement system and what respect looks like in our classroom.

It has been a wonderful start to the year, with students showing enthusiasm, cooperation and responsibility as they learn how to work together in a supportive and respectful learning environment.

We look forward to continuing to build a positive, safe and happy classroom community in Year 3/4 DW.
