Wellbeing

  Mrs Mauriks

Hi everyone,

Welcome back to our returning families and welcome to all of the new families joining us.

My name is Roísín and I oversee the Wellbeing at Ballan Primary School. The students know me as Mrs Mauriks and I have taught many of them in one capacity or another over the years.

The main part of my role here at BPS is to work alongside students, families, and staff to create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment for all. A big part of this is understanding a student’s needs and how the school can make adjustments, to help them to have a great and positive day.

Take some time to review some of the dot points below, and consider if they relate to your child. If they do and you would like to reach out to me, you can do so by email, or if you would prefer, you can always call me and we can either chat on the phone or meet here at the school.

Contact Mrs Mauriks if:

  • You have concerns about your child’s behaviour, emotional regulation, academic progression or school readiness
  • Your child has a diagnosis related to their development, physical health or emotional wellbeing
  • You child is currently in the process of being assessed by a paediatrician
  • Your child has medical reports that the school needs to know about
  • You and/or your child have been impacted by family violence
  • There are court orders in place that the school needs to know about
  • Your child is currently seeing a speech pathologist, OT, play therapist or cognitive behaviour therapist
  • You have questions about the Disability Inclusion Profile process or funding process
  • You feel your child will need additional support at school
  • You child requires support with daytime toileting
  • You are experiencing food shortages

Please feel free to reach out at any time. No question is too small.
