Weekend Maintenance 2026

Gallery Image

Again, this year, families will have the option of –

  • attending school on one set weekend and performing a few maintenance tasks for 2–3 hours, or
  • paying an amount of $88.00 per family which is used to employ a maintenance person.

Families who choose to do maintenance will be issued with a Maintenance Task Sheet and a key to the new Maintenance Shed (usually on the Monday/Tuesday prior to their rostered weekend via their eldest child) setting out the tasks they are required to complete. The new Maintenance Shed is now located at the rear of the school behind the portable classrooms and new school building.

On completion of tasks, families must return the completed signed Task Sheet and key to the school office (on the following Monday) when the $88.00 fee charged will be deducted from their account.

Sweeping or blowing paths with a blow vac and mulch back onto garden beds, watering plants, weeding gardens, and cleaning eating areas and drink troughs are examples of various tasks, a couple of which you will be asked to complete.

Parents who have indicated that they wish to participate in weekend maintenance will be allocated a weekend. This will be available to view on the school website and in the weekly newsletter/bulletin. We ask that if you are unable to undertake maintenance on the particular weekend allocated, families will need to organize a weekend swap with another family and inform the office of this change.

Finally, it is important that families understand that participating (or not) in the maintenance program is a separate responsibility to families participating in our occasional school community working bee or helping out with our other fundraisers.
