From our Foundation Classrooms

What a fantastic start to the school year we have had! The first two days have been filled with smiles, excitement, and a growing sense of confidence as students settle into their new routines. It has been wonderful to see the children adjusting so well, enjoying time in the playground, participating in school tours, and reconnecting with known cousins, friends, and family members. The positive energy across the school has been lovely to see.

To support strong communication between home and school, I kindly ask families to please ensure they are connected to Compass. Important updates and information are shared through this platform. If you need any support accessing Compass or have questions, please contact the school office—our staff are always happy to assist.

We are also excited to share that the School Nurse will soon be visiting our school to support students and families. This service is completely free and is a wonderful program that supports student wellbeing and learning. Families will need to register online to access the service. More information will be shared shortly, and if you need any assistance, please visit the office.

Please also stay tuned for the rollout of ClassDojo, our whole-school communication tool. ClassDojo will be our main platform for sharing classroom learning, celebrations, and important updates throughout the week. It is a great way to stay connected with your child’s learning journey.

Mr Andrew and I have both had a wonderful first two days and are already enjoying getting to know the children. We cannot wait to watch them grow, learn, and develop throughout the year.

As a reminder, school begins at 9:00am, with classrooms open from 8:50am to support students in settling and being ready to learn. To strengthen the home–school connection, it would be wonderful to talk with your child about their day and what they learned at school. Both classes have already read over 14 books, which has been a fantastic achievement and a great topic for family conversations at home.
