District Tennis

Four Essex Heights students proudly represented our school at the Monash Heights District Tennis competition at Tally Ho Tennis Club in Mount Waverley on Friday 1 March. Max O, Marcus O, Lauren N and Claire C displayed great sportsmanship and determination throughout their matches.

At the end of the pool matches, Max and Marcus placed 1st and 2nd. Lauren placed 1st in her pool and Claire finished 2nd.

I was extremely proud of the way our students conducted themselves, playing some great tennis! Congratulations to Max, Marcus, Lauren and Claire who will now represent Monash Heights District at the Monash Waverley Division event next term on Wednesday 24 April.

We wish them good luck!

On the 1st of March I went to Tally Ho Tennis Club to compete at Monash Heights District tennis representing Essex Heights. I finished top of the boys’ competition winning all my matches and qualifying for the next stage at Division which will be held in April.

A big thank you to Mrs Hocking for running the event at Tally Ho Tennis Club on such high quality courts. A big congratulations to Lauren, Claire, and Marcus for also qualifying for Division.    Max O (Year 6)

I am going to tell you what I did at District tennis. District tennis was on the 1st of March and there were many schools represented as part of the Monash Heights District. We played at Tally Ho Tennis Club, and it was organised by Ms Hocking and her sister Danielle Jones. I finished second out of the boys’ section and lost just one match to my brother Max which doesn’t count. I would like to thank Ms Hocking for running the day and hosting the event at Tally Ho Tennis Club. Congratulations to everyone who made it to Division Tennis which will be held on the 24th of April.    Marcus O (Year 5)

On the 1st March we attended the District tennis. Lauren came first in her pool and I finished second in my pool, so we ended up playing against each other. We would like to say a big thank you to Ms Hocking and her sister Danielle for organising the event. Congratulations to all of us and we will compete at Division on 24th of April.    Claire C (Year 6)

I played three matches in my pool and won all of them, so I finished first. I would like to thank my Mum, Dad & Ms Hocking for supporting me. I’m looking forward to competing in the Monash Waverley Division tennis tournament.    Lauren (Year 5)
