The Game Show! took our students on a high-octane adventure on Tuesday as they teamed up in small groups to compete for the coveted MiniBOSS glory. It was a day filled with fun challenges designed for all abilities and learning styles.
The highlights Included:
- Engineering Feats: Teams conquered various engineering challenges.
- Lateral Thinking: Students flexed their problem-solving skills.
- Puzzles: Minds were put to the test with engaging puzzles.
- Math Mastery: Math skills were put to the test.
- Spelling and Grammar: Students showcased their language skills.
- Creativity: Creativity was unleashed throughout the day.
It was no ordinary day! Students engaged in an action-packed Game Show, playing to their strengths, exploring new ways to communicate, and supporting their peers in the race against time for team victory! Just like a real game show, points were earned for completing challenges, demonstrating teamwork, and showcasing skills. The students had a memorable and fun time during the incursion. Here is some feedback from the students:
Eva P (5L) - It was very fun, and we did a lot of activities. I learned about engineering when I participated in the “Building a Strong Bridge” challenge.
Fiona Z (5L) - The incursion was very challenging. It included a lot of teamwork. When we failed, we did not give up and kept persisting. Even though we did not win, I still had a very fun day. My favourite activity was “Thinking outside the Box”.
Arnav P (5R) - The dominos was very good. We failed a lot of times but it was lots of fun and “Thinking outside the box was my favourite.
Logan W (5R) - It was nerve wrecking at the start but in the end it was exciting. My favourite activity was the engineering challenge. We build a bridge to hold 26 dominoes.
Ian G (5P) - I feel excited and nervous in the beginning around new people, but they were very cool, and I really enjoyed doing the incursion. My favourite game was the spelling challenge because I managed to get all the winning scores for my team.
Sammy S (5P) - I really liked it and the hosts are very nice. My favourite activity is the word game in which we try to find as many words as they can from a set lettered wooden pegs. I find it really challenging because it uses all my brain power.
