Hello STM families,
Literacy & Numeracy Intervention
Some families have received a letter from Belinda or I notifying them of their child's participation in our literacy or numeracy intervention programs. Thank you to the families who have returned the reply slip. If you are yet to return this slip, please do so by Tuesday 12th March.
STM Satchel
Over the past few years, our Prep students have received a welcome pack from us containing a hat, resources and a STM school satchel. The STM satchel is a handy resource for readers, letters, notices, home learning or intervention tasks. Students are asked to have their satchel at school each day to help organise materials between home and school.
We have some families who have joined us after their child's first year of schooling. If your child is in Year 1 or Year 2, and does not have a STM satchel, please email at dgeorge@smbelgrave.catholic.edu.au and we will organise your child's satchel asap.
NAPLAN 2024
The NAPLAN assessment period for Year 3 and 5 students will be held from Wednesday 13 March to Monday 25 March. Please see below for the testing schedule for our school;
Wednesday 13th March - Writing
Year 3 from 9:00 am (duration 40 minutes)
Year 5 from 11:30 am (duration 42 minutes)
Friday 15th March - Reading
Year 3 from 9:00 am (duration 45 minutes)
Year 5 from 11:30 am (duration 50 minutes)
Tuesday 19th March - Conventions of Language (Grammar, Spelling & Punctuation)
Year 3 from 9:00 am (duration 45 minutes)
Year 5 from 11:30 am (duration 45 minutes)
Friday 21st March - Numeracy
Year 3 from 9:00 am (duration 45 minutes)
