Sports Update

Cross Country

We are looking forward to our annual Cross Country event which will be held at the Glen Innes Golf Course on Monday the 8th April. Children will be bussed to and from school and will need to wear their sports uniform. Please pack appropriately for the day depending on the weather. The Lion’s Van will be selling lunch items and Floatin’ Around Coffee Van will be there, however make sure you pack enough food for the day. The ground will potentially be wet from the rain this week, therefore it might be a good idea to pack another pair of shoes to wear after your child runs, to keep their feet dry. If you are willing to help on the day and you have supplied the school with your Working With Children Check please contact Jackie Barratt at school.

Swimming - NSWCPS

Congratulations to Zara Correy and Maggie Doust who swam outstandingly at the NSW Catholic Primary Schools Championships in Sydney on Wednesday. These girls have been training for months to prepare themselves for this event. Maggie came 11th overall in her 50m Freestyle and smashed her PB. Zara came 13th in her 50m Breastroke, 16th in 50m Freestyle, in 50m Butterfly and in 200IM. Stage 2 was filled with excitement when they watched the girls swim their 50m Freestyle on the livestream. Well done girls. Enjoy the rest from all your hard work.

Touch Football Trials

Good luck to the following students who are attending the Armidale Diocesan Touch Football trials in Tamworth next Wednesday; Collie Cooper, Sam Barratt, Jimmy Chard, April Collins, Zoe McAllister, Peyton McBain and Rosemary Wright. We are sure they will proudly represent themselves and the school.
