News from the Wellbeing Program

Our Health and Wellbeing plays an important role in our everyday lives.

There’s nothing else that’s more important than being positive about our mental, emotional, social and physical health. This helps us navigate through our daily challenges. We are lucky enough to be able to continue to offer this subject as part of the curriculum again this year. 😊😊

After a year of daily check-ins and using the Zones of Regulation, we are beginning to regulate our emotions more regularly and will continue focusing on self-reflection so we are able to change the way we feel for more positive outcomes.

The RRRR’s focus this term is on Emotional Literacy where we learn to understand and recognise our own emotions and the emotions of others. Being able to deal with emotional triggers using strategies that we are comfortable with plays a vital role when coping with different situations.

Grades will continue to work through The Resilience Project which delivers an engaging program providing practical, evidence-based mental health strategies to help build resilience and happiness. The research is clear; the more positive emotions you experience, the more resilient you will be.

Fostering and continuing to develop a positive Growth Mindset goes a long way in helping us work through problems.

The school values link across all of these areas and play an important part in the make up of who we are and who we strive to be in the future.

We are working on the positives and how we can do anything together!

Looking forward to having a wonderful year!

Chill out!
