PFA Committee 2024

Last night the PFA Annual General Meeting for 2024 was held.  Many thanks to those members that attended and voted.

We are delighted to have Sam Yang (Dad) of Amanda in grade 2) continuing as Treasurer and Solmaz Moslehi (Mum of Maya in grade 2) continuing as the PFA School Council Representative.

We are still looking for a President and a Secretary.  Can you help? Either of these roles can be shared between 2 people, and will have the full support of the PFA committee and members.  Please feel free to reach out to us on pfa@carnegieps.vic.edu.au if you’d like to find out more about these roles.

Big thanks go to Sandra Michela (Mum of Max and Camila in grade 6) and to Lee Vu (Mum of Audrey in grade 5 and Adeline in grade 3) as they finish their terms as President and Secretary respectively.  Thank you Sandra and Lee for all your contributions in these roles.  We are very pleased that you will be still be around on the PFA in 2024, albeit not in a formal role!

Become a PFA member and / or get involved

PFA membership is free and open to any school parent or supporter.  Please complete the 2024 PFA membership registration form on Qkr if you are interested in receiving information from the PFA, such as meeting agenda and minutes (it will also entitle you to vote at meetings).  It only takes a couple of minutes to complete the registration form.

We need lots of hands on deck to make PFA events a success - and volunteering to help out is a great way to bring fun events to life for the students, connect with other parents, and to get a glimpse into primary school life!

Please bookmark the SignUp page - https://signup.com/go/rfQFDNp - to keep an eye on volunteering opportunities, and sign up for those that suit you.  It is constantly updated as new activities are organised (and is about to get busy with Easter related fundraising activities!), so please check back regularly.

We understand that everyone’s lives are busy and appreciate whatever time and support parents are able to offer.

Easter Eggscitment Coming Soon!

Fundraising is a big focus for the PFA for the second half of Term 1, with two of our major (and most delicious!) activities - the Hot Cross Bun drive and the much loved Easter Raffle. 

Please keep an eye on Compass over the coming week for details of Hot Cross Bun and Easter Raffle ticket sales.

Please get ready to start bringing in those Easter Raffle chocolate donations after the long weekend!

Icypole Friday

There are 3 more Icypole Fridays before they take a winter hiatus for Terms 2 & 3.  Icypoles are for sale for $1 each, after the second lunch bell.  Students in grades 3 - 6 should come to the canteen window in the Hall of Champions if they would like to buy one.  Prep - Grade 2 students will be able to give their money to their teacher and the icypoles will be handed out in the classroom.
