Celebrating Learning

Come little leaves said the wind one day,

Come over the meadow with me to play,

Put on your jackets of red and gold,

Summer is gone and the days grow cold.

Soon as the leaves heard the wind’s loud call,

Down they came fluttering one and all,

Over the fields they danced and flew,

Singing the soft little songs they knew.

We have been celebrating summer birthdays and autumn. Dancing as leaves, making patterns of the seasons, painting in yellows and golds. We are enjoying moving through the story of the mushroom in the rain chorally in our morning circle. We enjoyed making a snow cave with our sheepskins to huddle in during rest time just like all the little friends huddled in the mushroom home and when the sun comes out, we do too to play under the Faraway tree in our garden.
