Mindful Movement
Throughout this term, Steiner students have had a big journey with skipping! There have been triumphs, there has been joy, and there has been frustration and hurdles to overcome.
Students have been tracking their skipping progress and zones of regulation each week. Instead of a PMI (plus, minus, interesting) chart, we used a PMG (plus, minus, growth) chart, to spark conversations and reflections about the skill of skipping and to have evidence of our development.
Steiner students have noted their challenges, their successes and some have either met or exceeded their original goal. We have had conversations about focusing on our own goal rather than comparing ourselves to others, that sometimes hard things feel boring to us, and the importance of growth mindset and the willingness to have a go.
