Gardening

As we reach the Autumn Equinox the days and nights are in equal balance. In gardening we have been exploring seasonal change and have begun to prepare our garden beds for the cooler months ahead.

Tomatoes and cucumbers are being removed to make space for winter plantings such as peas, broad beans, garlic and leafy greens.

We have continued to taste food from the garden and this week enjoyed a cup of lemon myrtle tea brewed fresh from the tree.

Nature play continues to be an integral component of the gardening program as students immerse themselves in sensory and imaginative play.

A huge thanks to the families who came along to the working bee, particularly Danielle and Ian for coordinating the day!
