Celebrating Learning
For the last two weeks grade 5s have been participating in Naplan. Their focus, participation and persistence has been deadly! Well, done grade 5s!
While they have been working hard, the grade 6 students have been working on passion projects. Here is a report from Evie and Luna about their experience:
Passion Projects
By Evie and Luna
A passion project is a chance to express ourselves and to create something we feel passionate about. Passion is something that comes from within. Without it, we have no hopes and dreams. That is why the grade 6s have been digging deep into their passions while the year 5s have been doing Naplan. Passion projects involve researching something we want to get better at, something we are interested in or something we want to know more about. People have been making magazines, setting themselves goals to improve a particular skill, researching their favourite sport stars, learning about World War 1, the Bermuda Triangle and Lake Conda, learning about different styles of graphic novel art, creating their own games on scratch using coding and making their own songs. It has been a fun experience getting stuck into our passion projects. We hope that we can do them again and that the grade 5s can experience the same joy next year!
