English Update

Last week we were fortunate to have Literacy consultant Stephen Graham visit us again at Mackellar. Stephen worked with our teachers on Curriculum Day, revisiting the essentials of our English teaching program and working through a teaching scope and sequence for Narrative and Informative writing. This was a fantastic day of new learning for our staff.

During his visit, Stephen also worked with students in many of our classrooms, delivering Writing lessons. This was a terrific learning opportunity for our students as well as our teachers, who got to observe Stephen in action. 

It was great to have Stephen back in our school again and we look forward to his next visit in April.
