Unit of Inquiry – 

How the world works 

We have begun our next unit of inquiry, How the Word Works with the central idea exploring how the weather affects our lives and the environment.  

To date the students have discussed the different ways the weather affects our lives and the changes in weather patterns.  

In this unit we will look at what determines our daily weather with an emphasis on temperature, wind, air pressure, humidity, precipitation and cloudiness.  

The students have been enjoying their weekly science lessons where they have experimented with making their own clouds and gauging the rain.  

During Literacy sessions students have been learning about adjectives and have brainstormed as many as they can to describe the seasons and different types of weather.
