Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,
Last Friday we held our end of term Mass and we thank Father Martin for his constant availability to support the growth of our students, particularly with their spiritual development. This was followed by our House Country. Mrs Ary had it all organised so well and well done to all that competed on the day.
Tuesday evening there was a Confirmation Information session in the Church where our students continued their journey towards becoming adult members of our faith. The students this year are very fortunate as with it being a Jubilee Year Bishop Ireland has invited our Parish and St Joseph's Parish Chelsea to make their Confirmation at St Patrick's Cathedral in East Melbourne. Truly blessed!
One of the vagaries of Easter and school terms is that we have a focus on the Stations of the Cross to end this week, though Good Friday is still a fortnight away. I thank all students and staff for their efforts in preparing for our own commemoration of this Holy experience that we will share tomorrow.
We have sent out 20 acceptance letters for Foundation 2026 this week. These are our siblings of our current families who we have received applications from and new families who have their child Baptised. We still have a number of current families that we require paperwork from. Please supply this to the office asap so we can confirm your child's place for 2026. We have a number of other applications at hand from families that we are currently processing before finalising classes for 2026 by the end of May.
Term 2 commences on Tuesday 22 April with a celebratory day for Easter, remembering the risen Christ, with Alleluia Day and our annual Easter Bonnet Parade.
Stay safe and well and we look forward to seeing everyone next term.
God Bless and thank you all for a wonderful term
Rod Shaw
