Classroom in Action – Year 8 Science
Year 8 Science students have been conducting experiments into the different ways heat can transfer between locations and objects. One experiment involved students working outside to explore radiation and the effect colour has on heat absorption. They recorded temperature changes in direct sunlight and found that darker colours typically absorb more radiation and heat than lighter ones. This hands-on activity reinforced scientific concepts learnt in class and encouraged students to develop observation and data analysis skills. Great work, Year 8!
