From the Principal's Desk

As we come to the close of Term 1, I wish to extend my sincere thanks to our families, staff, and students for a rich and fulfilling start to the school year. This term has been filled with meaningful experiences that have brought our community closer together in faith, learning, and growth.

Stations of the Cross with Father Brankic

To mark the final week of Lent and our journey towards Easter, we were honoured to share a moving Stations of the Cross with Father Brankic. Our students led us reverently through each station, reflecting on the sacrifice of Jesus with prayer, song, and solemn silence. It was a powerful and prayerful way to conclude the term and prepare our hearts for the Easter season.

Catholic Schools Week

Earlier in the term, we celebrated Catholic Schools Week—a time to recognise and honour the gift of Catholic education. Our school community gathered for a special assembly, where students shared their learning and the values that shape our identity. Open Classrooms welcomed families into learning spaces and gave students the chance to proudly showcase their work. Thank you to all who joined us in making this celebration so special.

Lenten Journey

Throughout this term, our school embraced the season of Lent with a spirit of reflection, prayer, and generosity. Students participated in Benediction and classroom activities that emphasised kindness, compassion, and service to others. This collective focus on faith and action has been a wonderful reminder of the heart of our Catholic identity.

David Enever Religious Music Conference

A highlight for many was the David Enever Religious Music concert, where students engaged with music as a joyful expression of faith. David’s energy and spiritual message inspired all who attended, deepening our connection to God through music and worship.

Laurel Hill Leadership Camp (Years 4, 5, and 6)

Our senior students had an unforgettable experience at the Laurel Hill Leadership Camp. Over three days, they took part in activities that fostered teamwork, personal growth, and leadership. It was wonderful to see students step up, support one another, and reflect on what it means to be a leader in our community.

Looking Ahead to Term 2

Term 2 will commence on Wednesday, 30th April, and we look forward to welcoming our students back, refreshed and ready for another exciting term of learning and growth. A reminder that Term 2 is our winter uniform term. While Weeks 1 and 2 will serve as a crossover period where students may continue to wear summer uniform (weather permitting), all students are expected to be in full winter uniform by the beginning of Week 3.

As Term 1 concludes, I want to thank you all once again for your ongoing support. It has been a term marked by community, faith, and learning. I wish all families a safe and restful holiday, and a joyful celebration of Easter.

God Bless,

Daniel Francis
