R.E. News

In the last week of the school holidays, Holy Week will begin. Holy Week is a journey, which can be compared to a pilgrimage, that walks us through the final days of Jesus’ life, leading us to the celebration of Easter.
Palm Sunday, April 13th, 2025: We begin by remembering Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, where he was welcomed with palm branches. This Sunday reminds us of Jesus' humility and the people's initial hope.
Holy Thursday, April 17th, 2025: This day commemorates the Last Supper, where Jesus shared his final meal with his disciples and instituted the Eucharist. It is a time for us to remember Jesus' gift of himself and his call to serve one another.
Good Friday, April 18th, 2025: We reflect on the solemn day of Jesus’ crucifixion. This day invites us to contemplate the immense love and sacrifice Jesus made for us.
Easter Sunday, April 20th, 2025: Finally, we arrive at the glorious celebration of Easter, the resurrection of Jesus Christ! This is the most joyful day in our Church calendar, where we celebrate the victory of life over death and the promise of eternal life.
Easter is the heart of our Catholic faith, reminding us of God’s boundless love and the hope we have in Jesus Christ. We encourage you to spend time as a family reflecting on these important events and to participate in the parish Easter celebrations.
Wishing you a blessed and joyful Easter.
